SOPHIA TAYLOR GRISWOLD (1828–1903) lived in Chicago. For many years she was a friend of Philip P. Bliss. She wrote words to songs composed by Philip P. Bliss and George Root. She married Dr. William R. Griswold, a native of Forestville, N.Y.
