Representative Text

1 The Lord, our dear King, goes before us,
His word is a light to our feet;
His banner of love waving o’er us,
Brings sunshine and makes life complete.

Refrain:
His children are safe in His keeping,
His laws and His statutes are right,
And loving, and serving, and trusting,
His children grow strong in His might.

2 The hand of our King scatters manna
That may be fed on our way;
His ear hears our faintest hosanna,
Our feeblest petition each day. [Refrain]

3 Our King never fails nor forsakes us
When we, ‘neath His wing seek repose;
The blooms now adorning His altars,
Remind us of Sharon’s sweet Rose. [Refrain]
