Marry Skylark Girls

The Skylark sings the joyous news

Author: Ivy Fisher
Tune: [The Skylark sings the joyous news]
Published in 1 hymnal

Representative Text

1 The Skylark sings the joyous news
That spring is almost here,
We bring the news of sunny days
In work and songs of cheer.
For we are happy skylark girls,
Our merry voices rng
To God our Father whom we love
And tahnk for every thing.

2 We sing of golden sunshine bright,
Of summer breezes warm,
Of rain, and morning's shining dew,
Of winter's ice and storm.
We Skylark girls live through each day
With Jesus' life in view.
Our work, our play, our blessings, all
We'll gladly share with you.
