A Liturgy for the New Church #d100
1 There is a stream whose gentle flow
Supplies the city of our God;
Life, love, and joy, still gliding through,
And wat’ring our divine abode.
Refrain:
Flow on silent river, flow on, flow forever!
Thy waters shall fail us never,
Flow, flow, flow!
2 That sacred stream, Thy holy Word,
Supports our faith, our fears controls;
Sweet peace Thy promises afford,
And give new strength to fainting souls. [Refrain]
3 Loud may the troubled ocean roar:
In sacred peace our souls abide;
While ev’ry nation, ev’ry shore
Trembles and dreads the swelling tide. [Refrain]
