This solemn hour, O let us be

Representative Text

1 This solemn hour O let us be,
Dear Heav'nly Father, close to Thee.
It passes now, the dying year,
Eternity is drawing near.
Bless us this night, O Lord, we pray:
Help us to follow Thee alway.

2 We pray to-night: O Saviour dear,
If we should live another year,
Give grace and faith that it may be
A year of service unto Thee.
Bless us this night, O Lord, we pray:
Help us to follow Thee alway.

Amen.
