He holds me

Representative Text

1 Tho’ I falter and am weak God’s hand still holds me,
Yes, He holds me in the hollow of His hand;
Tho’ my faith at times may waver and distress me,
Yet He holds me in the hollow of His hand.

Refrain:
Still He holds me, yes, He holds me,
Tho’ the waves of doubt may sweep me to and fro;
I place my hand in His, He draws me closer,
I trust Him, for He will not let me go.

2 Many times the tempter’s voice is heard behind me,
Bidding me to join His faithless, sinful band,
Then I go in haste to Jesus and He holds me,
Yes, He holds me in the hollow of His hand. [Refrain]

3 I am praying that some day I may be able
Just to reach those heights beyond the tempter’s pow’r,
When I’ll rise above the world and its temptation,
Trusting Jesus ev’ry day and ev’ry hour. [Refrain]

4 Then some day around my Father’s throne in glory
I shall meet my loved ones on the golden strand,
How my happy heart will leap with joy and gladness;
That He kept me in the Hollow of His hand. [Refrain]
