Representative Text

1 “To him that overcomes,” O glorious hope,
O promise sweet and sure!
The triumph that is won thru tears and blood,
Forever shall endure,
Forever shall endure.

“His name is in the Book of Life!”
Shall I that promise share?
Shall I at last be victor in the strife?
Is my name written there?
Is my name written there?

2 “To him that overcomes,” my soul be strong!
The strife is not in vain;
The weary sentry watch, the long, long march,
The test of fire and pain,
The test of fire and pain. [Refrain]

3 “To him that overcomes,” no chance or change
That record shall destroy;
Beyond the changing years there still unroll,
Eternities of joy,
Eternities of joy. [Refrain]
