1. Vem, alma cansada,
Opressa em dor,
Entrega os cuidados
Na mão do Senhor;
A Cristo confia
Teu grande pesar,
Pois nEle descanso
Tu podes achar.
2. As mágoas, desgostos,
Revela ao Senhor;
Não, ó, não receies
Vir tudo Lhe expor;
Do mal que te oprime,
Te pode curar;
Jesus tem desejo
De te confortar.
3. Se tu já provaste
Tal consolação,
Vai, leva a mensagem
De paz e perdão
Às almas aflitas,
Opressas de dor;
Vai, traze os contritos
Aos pés do Senhor.
Bachelor, Mary A. This is the name which Mr. Sankey gives as the writer of "Go, bury thy sorrow," p. 1566, i. He adds that it originally began, "Bury thy sorrow, hide it with care." It was found by P. P. Bliss in a newspaper, and altered by him for musical reasons. See My Life and Sacred Songs, by I. D. Sankey, 1906.
