Representative Text

1 We are marching on in the army of the Lord,
We are true and we are faithful to our Captain’s word,
With our flag unfurled we are pressing to the fray,
Praising Jesus as we march away.

Refrain:
We’re marching onward to our home,
No more to weep, no more to roam,
With songs of joy and hearts aglow,
In heav’nly love we onward go,
His voice is calling from above,
In tender tones, in tender love,
He cheers us on, the heav’nly way,
That leads to everlasting day.

2 He will never leave us, He never will forsake
What tho’ legions may oppose, temptations overtake,
With our trust in him we shall never, never fall!
Let us rally at the Captain’s call. [Refrain]

3 Come and join our throng, we will take you by the hand,
Let us journey on together to the better land
With our saints at last we shall wear the victor’s crown,
And forever lay our armor down. [Refrain]
