Representative Text

1 We are trav’ling home to glory
Led, in the way, by hope;
In our hearts we hear the echo
Of sweet words that Jesus spoke.
I’ll prepare for you a mansion,
Yonder in my Father’s home;
You shall rest from toil and trouble,
Never more from me to roam.

2 We are trav’ling home to glory
Led, in the way, by love,
For we feel the daily blessings
Sent from His bright throne above.
As we journey on believing,
How happy our lives through grace,
Though His blessings we’re receiving,
Oft we long to see His face.

3 We are trav’ling home to glory,
Stronger, our faith, each day,
And the path is growing brighter,
All our fears are cast away.
We’ll be faithful till the ending,
And fight till the battle’s past.
All the toil we’re now expending,
Will bring us reward at last.

4 We are trav’ling home to glory,
Soon shall the gates fling wide,
Mid the splendors of the Father
We will dwell by Jesus’ side.
O what joy awaits our coming,
Yonder in the glory land,
By the side of Christ our Saviour
Where our joys shall never end.
