Representative Text

1 We have a Rock, a safe retreat,
A shelter in the time of storm;
A sure foundation for our feet,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain:
Our Jesus is the Rock where we safely rest,
WE safely rest, we safely rest;
Our Jesus is the Rock where we safely rest,
A shelter in the time of storm.

2 O Rock of Ages, always sure,
A shelter in the time of storm;
Where weary pilgrims rest secure,
A shelter in the time of storm. [Refrain]

3 Within the cleft we safely hide,
A shelter in the time of storm;
And there would evermore abide,
A shelter in the time of storm. [Refrain]

4 O Rock of Ages, hide Thou me,
A shelter in the time of storm;
And ever keep me close to Thee,
A shelter in the time of storm. [Refrain]
