Full Text

1 When the roll is called in heaven and we answer to our names,
When the glory of God’s Kingdom we shall share,
When the trumpet call is given and we go to meet the Lord,
When the roll is called in heaven I’ll be there.

Refrain:
I’ll be there yes I’ll be there
When the roll is called in heaven I’ll be there.
Where the golden harps are ringing and the saints of God are singing.
When the roll is called in heaven I’ll be there.

2 Yes, I’ll meet you where the stream of life flows from the throne of God,
Where unceasing praise has taken place of prayer,
It will be a glorious moment when we look upon His face,
When the roll is called in heaven I’ll be there. [Refrain]

3 Where the Lord shall wipe away our tears which ne’er shall fall again,
Where no graveyard mars the golden hills so fair,
In the city where death never comes and sorrows pass away,
When the roll is called in heaven I’ll be there. [Refrain]
