Representative Text

1 When the shadows dark and drear tempt my soul to doubt and fear,
I will look to Jesus, for He knows the way;
He has kept me thro’ the years, wiped away my bitter tears,
And I love my Savior better every day.

Refrain:
Yes, I love Him better, better every day; Gently
He is leading over life’s rough way:
I will trust Him ever, trust Him come what may,
For I love my Savior better every day.

2 O how sweet the joy He gives, for within my heart He lives!
All my heavy burden at His feet I lay;
All the blessed way along He has filled my soul with song,
And I love my Savior better every day. [Refrain]

3 I, by faith, the face can see of the Lord who died for me,
As He gently whispers to me by the way;
I will praise Him evermore, shout His glory o’er and o’er,
For I love my Savior better every day. [Refrain]
