Representative Text

1 When the wintry winds are blowing,
Brightly shines this cheering ray—
In the land to which we’re going,
God shall wipe all tears away.

Refrain:
He’ll wipe all tears away,
He’ll wipe all tears away;
In that land to which we’re going,
God shall wipe all tears away.

2 He will help us thro’ our sorrow,
Be our comfort and our stay,
Till that sweet, eternal morrow,
When he’ll wipe all tears away. [Refrain]

3 All things work for good together;
Winds and waves his word obey;
After time’s uncertain weather,
He shall wipe all tears away. [Refrain]

4 Trust him, who hath freely given
Grace sufficient for the day;
Serve in gladness till, in heaven,
God shall wipe all tears away. [Refrain]
