Born: June 1883, Lo­cust Grove, Georg­ia. Died: Date un­known; the 1940 cen­sus shows him in Dal­las, Tex­as. Combs’ par­ents were Will­iam Mc­Col­lough Combs & Ma­ry Eliz­a­beth Walk­er Combs. He marr­ied Flo­rence Bow­man in 1909.
