1 Sowing the seed of truth,
Patiently on we go,
Sowing it here and there,
Knowing not which will grow;
Jesus beholds it fall,
He will the work record;
Patiently sow the seed,
Leaving it with the Lord.

2 Sowing at early dawn,
Sowing in noontide ray,
Scattering still at eve,

Ever till life is past;
Knowing that we shall reap
Glorious fruit at last;
