35. Be True to Your Colors

1 As on thru life you journey,
Along an untried way,
Temptation will o’ertake you,
But stand for right and say:

Refrain:
We’ll be true to our colors,
Nor trail them in the dust,
Be loyal ever to the name
Of God in whom we trust.
We will keep His banner flying,
And upon His strength relying,
We will bravely meet each conflict and the vict’ry win.

2 Whene’er His cause needs workers,
Then do your part each day,
Uphold His royal banner,
And never failing say: [Refrain]

3 Join in the Christian warfare,
Be ready for the fray;
The Lord our God is with us,
And he will help us say: [Refrain]
