38. Hiding in His Love

1 I was lost in sin, long an exile from my home,
In the desert wild I wandered sad and lone;
There my Saviour found me, my feet no long roam,
I’m hiding ‘neath the shadow of His love.

Refrain:
Hiding underneath the shadow of His love,
Safe within His care, He watches from above;
Firm I’ll ever stand, no fear my heart shall know,
Hiding ‘neath the shadow of His love.

2 In the secret place I am safe from ev’ry foe,
For His wondrous grace He doth forever show;
Though the tempter haunt me, to Jesus I will go,
And hiding ‘neath the shadow of His love. [Refrain]

3 You may be discouraged and ready to despair,
Let the Saviour help you, He your grief will share;
Cast on Him your burden, the heavy load He’ll bear,
And hide beneath the shadow of His love. [Refrain]

4 When the days of toil and of sorrow all are past,
And in heaven’s home we’re gathered safe at last,
There we’ll meet our Saviour, His glory we shall share,
And dwell beneath the shadow of His love. [Refrain]
