201. Jesus, My Savior, My Shepherd Blest

1 Jesus, my Savior, my Shepherd blest,
Whose goodness my wants supplieth,
Calls His lamb at His feet to rest,
Where, in His keeping, it lieth.

2 Wounded I fled from the wolf's domain;
My blood to His heart appealing,
Jesus found me and eased my pain,
Gave me the balsam of healing.

3 Leaning my head on His loving arm,
I drink from the living fountain,
While I, sheltered from ev'ry harm,
Rest in the cool of the mountain.

4 Though I must leave this abode of clay,
And shadows of death enveil me,
I'll not fear, for He lights the way,
Never my Shepherd will fail me.

5 Soon I shall go to my home above,
Away from the world's temptation,
There my Shepherd, the Prince of love,
Gives me the cup of salvation.
