128. Savior of all, whose body broken

1 Savior of all, whose body broken
On Golgotha, knew bitterness,
We feel thy grace and would remember
Thy holy feast, as thou once bad'st us.

2 Devoutly now we seek thy presence,
Our hearts distressed by people's grief.
Behold thy face, tear-lined and blood-stained!
Our human pain thou still art bearing.

3 Come thou we pray and dwell among us,
Let us behold thy mystic self,
Immanuel, heaven's boundless blessing,
May we have life with thee forever.

Amen.
