211. Sowing for the Harvest Day

1 In our Master’s footsteps going,
Seeds we scatter all the way,
Seeds of love and seeds of kindness,
Sowing for the harvest day.

Refrain:
Sowing, sowing, always sowing,
Precious seeds along life’s way;
Love for our Redeemer showing,
Sowing for the harvest day.

2 Ev’ry time we help another,
Ev’ry time a smile is shown,
Or a word of love is spoken
To the needy, seed is sown. [Refrain]

3 If we lift a fallen brother,
If we brighten someone’s way,
We are helping Christ, our Savior,
Sowing for the harvest day. [Refrain]

4 In the footsteps of our Master,
Day by day and year by year,
We will sow with faith and courage,
Till the golden grain appear. [Refrain]
