Ripozis la dolĉa Jesua kapet'.
La steloj rigardis el nuba vual'
Al eta Jesuo dormanta en stal'.

2. La bovoj blekadis post taga labor',
Sed kuŝis Jesuo sen plendo aŭ plor'.
Jesu', mi vin amas! Ho restu kun mi;
Protektu min ĝis la matena radi'.

3. Ho kara Jesuo! Ne iru vi for,
Sed restu proksime por ĉiam en kor'.
Benadu infanojn sur ter' tie ĉi,
Ĝis vivo ĉiela, en gloro kun vi.
