100. Not Too Late

1 ‘Tis not too late, no, not too late!
Yield not thyself to dark despair,
To win thy soul, with cunning art
The subtle Tempter spreads his snare,
Fly from him and seek thy God,
There is danger in delay,
Leave the road to darkness,
Seek the straight and narrow way.

Refrain:
Leave the road that leads to darkness,
Unto Christ you Savior flee,
For the golden gate of mercy
Ever stands ajar for thee.

2 Nay, doubting soul, ‘tis not too late!
For you the Lord was crucified;
And thro’ the merits of His death,
See, Mercy’s door stands open wide.
Seek Him now with all your heart,
Unto Him your sins confess
With a perfect pardon,
He awaits your soul to bless. [Refrain]

3 ‘Tis not too late! O let these words
Your weak and fainting spirit cheer;
Unto each broken, contrite heart
The blessed Savior draweth near!
Than His tender love for you,
Greater love there cannot be;
Lo! His hands extended,
Wait to welcome even thee. [Refrain]
