Text: | Homes in Glory |
Author: | Fanny J. Crosby |
Tune: | [We sing of homes in glory] |
Composer: | Chas. H. Gabriel |
1 We sing of homes in glory
Where flowers immortal bloom;—
Beyond the mist and shadow,
Beyond the voiceless tomb;
We sing of Life’s pure river,
That, clear as crystal flows,
Where every throb of sorrow
Is lulled to sweet repose.
Refrain:
We sing of homes in glory,
Beyond the radiant skies,
Where love abideth ever,
And friendship never dies.
2 We sing of homes in glory
Where Jesus is the light,
And joy’s eternal morning
Shall burst upon our sight;
We sing of rest in Heaven,
Where toil and pain are o’er,
And friends each other greeting,
Shall part in tears no more. [Refrain]
3 We sing of homes in glory,
Of mansions bright and fair,
But what will be our transport
When gather’d safely there;
O, blessed homes in glory,
Beyond the radiant skies,
There love abideth ever,
And friendship never dies. [Refrain]
