Peter Busch

Peter Busch was born 15 November 1682 in Lübeck. He preached at Offleben and later in the Kreuzkirche at Hannover, and died 3 May 1744. He was a devotee of spiritual songs and their history, and also wrote on the theology of hymnody. Twenty-one of his hymns appeared in the Hannover hymnal, including: "Herr, ohne Glauben kann kein Mensch" and "Ich freue mich der frohen Zeit".
