Join all thy Powers, O my Soul

Appears in 1 hymnal Scripture: Psalm 103 Lyrics: 1. Join all thy Powers, O my Soul, God's holy Name to bless. 2. The Lord bless, O my Soul; forget None of his Acts of Grace. 3. 'Tis he doth all thy Sins forgive; And Sicknesses remove. 4. He from the Grave redeems thy Life; And crowns thee with his Love. 5. He fills thy Mouth with Good; thy Youth, As th' Eagle's, he renews. 6. Judgment, and Justice, for th' Oppress'd, The Lord himself pursues. 7. His Ways, to Moses, he made known; His Acts to Isr'el's Race. 8. The Lord is good, and kind; he's slow To Wrath, but full of Grace. 9. He will not always chide; nor mark Forever, when we swerve. 10. He chastens not for ev'ry Crime; For none as we deserve. 11. The Height of Heav'n's extended Arch Above this early Frame, Is far exceeded by his Grace, To them that fear his Name. 12. Far as the East is from the West; So far, his pard'ning Love Doth, our Transgressions manifold, Distant, from us, remove. Second Part 13. A Father pities his young Son; So doth the Lord the Just. 14. He knows how feeble is our Frame, Remembers we are Dust. 15. Man's Days like Grass; he flourisheth, As a Field-Flow'r new blown. 16. The Wind sweeps o'er, it disappears; It's Place no more is known. 17. But, Lord, thy Mercy ever was, And ever will endure, To them that fear Thee; and thy Truth To Children's Children's sure: 18. To such as keep his covenant, And his commands obey. 19. The Lord, in Heav'n prepar'd his Throne; O'er all extends his Sway. 20. Ye holy Angels, mighty Pow'rs, Bless ye Jehovah still; Who hear his Voice attentively, And constant do his Will. 21. Bless God, his Hosts, and Ministers, That do his Pleasure whole. 22. Thro' his wide Empire, bless the Lord; The Lord bless, O my Soul.

The Lord bless, O my soul, and all

Appears in 1 hymnal Scripture: Psalm 103 Lyrics: 1 The Lord bless, O my soul, and all In me, his holy name. 2 The Lord bless, O my soul, and all His bounties mind the same: For he it is that doth forgive All thine iniquities. 3 And he it is that doth relieve All thine infirmities. 4 Who ransoms from destruction Thy life, and crowneth thee With his most dear compassion And kind benignity, 5 Who with good things abundantly Doth satisfy thy mouth, So that like as the eagles be, Renewed is thy youth. 6 The Lord doth judgment, justice top, For all oppressed ones. 7 His ways to Moses he did show, His act's to Isr'el's sons. [2] 8 The Lord is merciful also He's verv gracious: And unto anger he is slow, In mercy plenteous. 9 Contention he will not maintain To perpetuity: And he his wrath will not retain Unto eternity. 10 According to our sins likewise, To us he hath not done; Nor hath he our iniquities Rewarded us upon. 11 Because ev'n as the heavens are Above the earth in height; So toward them that do him fear, His love is vastly great. 12 Like as the east and west they are Far in their distances: He hath remov'd away so far From us our trespasses. 13 A father's pity like unto Which he his sons doth bear: Like pity doth Jehovah show To them that do him fear. 14 For he doth know this frame of ours, He minds that dust we be. 15 Man's days are like the grass, like flow'rs In field so flour'sheth he. 16 For over it the wind doth pass And it away doth go; Also the place wherein it was No longer it shall know. [3] 17 Who fear the Lord, his mercy is On them from aye to aye; So likewise doth his righteousness On children's children stay. 18 To such as keep his cov'nant sure, Who do in mind up lay: The charge of his commandment pure,' That it obey they may. 19 The Lord hath in the heavens high Established his throne: And over all his royalty Doth bear dominion. 20 O ye his angels that excel In strength, bless ye the Lord, That do his word, that hearken well Unto the voice of's word. 21 All ye the armies of the Lord O bless Jehovah still: His ministers that do accord His pleafure to fulfil. 22 Yea, all his works in places all Of his dominion, Bless ye Jehovah: O my soul, Jehovah bless alone.
