Larry E. Roberts Sr. (b 22 April 1952, Chicago, IL) started playing organ at the age of four and by age thirteen was accompanying services at Chicago’s Trinity All Nations Church, where he later became minister of music (1968). In 1988, Roberts accepted the call to ministry and studied at the Trinity All Nations Church Bible School and Moody Bible Institute. He was elected pastor of Trinity All Nations Church (2002), then consecrated as Bishop (2014), retiring in 2023. Under his direction, the Trinity All Nations Choir has recorded several albums and traveled worldwide, singing many of Roberts’ own compositions, such as “I Love Jesus More Today,” “I’ve Got a Feeling,” “I Gave My Heart to the Lord,” and “Are You Ready.”… Go to person page >

Albertina Walker (b 29 Aug. 1929, Chicago, IL | d 8 Oct. 2010, Chicago, IL), daughter of Camilla Coleman and Reuben Walker, was raised in West Point Baptist Church, Chicago, mentored by Mahalia Jackson. She toured with the Robert Anderson Singers, then at the retirement of Anderson (1951), rebranded them as the Caravans, which helped launch careers for Bessie Griffin, Dorothy Norwood, Inez Andrews, James Cleveland, and Shirley Caesar. Her first solo album was God Is Love (1975), and she recorded multiple duet albums with James Cleveland, especially Please Be Patient with Me (1979) with Larry Roberts and Trinity All Nations. Often mislabeled as a traditional song because of its simple structure, this was a collaboration between Larry E. Roberts and Albertina Walker in preparation for their album with gospel legend James Clevaland, Please Be Patient with Me (1979), recorded at Trinity All Nations Church in Chicago. On the album cover, the song was credited solely to Albertina Walker, but in an interview for Hymns & Devotions for Daily Worship: African American Edition (2025), Roberts explained, "She was working on a song, and she said, 'I want you to listen to something,' and she started singing the lyrics, 'I’ve got a feeling everything’s gonna be alright.' She just gave me the first line, and I said, 'I can do something with that for you.' I added the music to the rest of it, and the other four stanzas of the song, and the vamp."
