Cry of the Penitent

Author: Mrs. C. H. M. Hymnal: Light and Life Songs No. 2 #51 (1914) First Line: Father, I am weary and sick with sin Refrain First Line: Take me in Lyrics: 1 Father, I am weary and sick with sin, Wandering away from Thee; To Thine arms of mercy, oh, take me in, Fully saved I long to be. Chorus: Take me in, Take me in, Open wide Thine arms of love and take me in; See, I come relenting, o’er the past repenting, Open wide Thine arms of love and take me in. 2 Here a full surrender I freely make, Helpless at Thy feet I lie; Worldly fame and treasures I all forsake, To their charms forever die. [Chorus] 3 Deeper yet my soul in its longing cries, Work within the double cure; For a whole salvation my sacrifice, Sanctify and make me pure. [Chorus] 4 Evermore, my Savior, hold Thou me fast In Thy loving, strong embrace, Until safe in glory, my anchor cast, I behold Thee face to face. [Chorus] Languages: English Tune Title: [Father, I am weary and sick with sin]
