She liked books, flowers, garden and being close to nature. She was most likely married to George W. Bacon since a lot of her hymns appear in hymnals he edited. Dianne Shapiro, from "The Singers and Their Songs: sketches of living gospel hymn writers" by Charles Hutchinson Gabriel (Chicago: The Rodeheaver Company, 1916)
