1840 - 1918 Composer of "[Heavenly portals ringing]" in Triumphant Songs No.3 John Harrison Tenney, 1840-1918
Born: November 22, 1840, Rowley, Massachusetts.
Born just after the presidential campaign of "Tippecanoe and Tyler, too," Tenney was named after American president William Henry Harrison. A deacon in the Congregational Church in Linebrook, Massachusetts, he edited or was associate editor of over 30 books, and contributed to hundreds more. His works include:

1862 - 1935 Person Name: W. S. Martin Author of "Jesus is Born" in Triumphant Songs No.3 Born: March 8, 1862, Rowley, Massachusetts.
Died: December 16, 1935, Atlanta, Georgia.
Buried: Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia.
Husband of hymnist Civilla Martin, Stillman attended Harvard University and was ordained a Baptist minister, though he later switched to the Disciples of Christ denomination. In 1916, he became a professor of Bible studies at Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, North Carolina. Three years later, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia. It was from there he went all over America to run Bible conferences and evangelistic meetings.
