Help the World Along

Author: W. C. Poole Hymnal: Sunday School Voices, No.2 #20 (1913) First Line: Help the world along with your words of cheer Refrain First Line: Help the world along, help the world along Lyrics: 1 Help the world along with your words of cheer, Ev’ry hour of ev’ry day; With a sunny smile weary hours beguile, Till the clouds have rolled away. Chorus: Help the world along, help the world along, There is surely something you can do; With a smile or song help to conquer sin and wrong,— Be willing, watchful, brave and true. 2 Help the world along with your zeal and strength, Make it better, brighter grow, Send a ray of light like the sunshine bright, Thro’ the darkness as you go. [Chorus] 3 Help the world along with your mind and skill, Some will braver, nobler stand; Valiantly and true ev’ry duty do,— Lend a willing, helping hand. [Chorus] 4 Help the world along with your deeds of love, And the harvest you shall see, For, when life is done and the guerdon won, Yours a crown of life shall be. [Chorus] Languages: English Tune Title: [Help the world along with your words of cheer]
