Seeking, He Sought Till He Found Me

Author: W. J. K. Hymnal: New Songs of Praise and Power 1-2-3 Combined #288 (1922) First Line: Like a lost sheep on the mountain astray Lyrics: 1 Like a lost sheep on the mountain astray, Far from the fold I had wander’d away, Jesus came seeking His lost one that day; Seeking, He sought till He found me. Refrain: Seeking, He sought till He found me, The, with His loving arms ‘round me, Close to His bosom He bound me, Bringing me back to the fold 2 Brother, the Saviour is calling you home, Why on the mountains of sin will you roam? Back to His love He is bidding you come; Seeking, He’s seeking to find you. [Refrain] 3 Sinner, the Saviour is looking for you, Christ, the good Shepherd, so loving and true. He will receive you and welcome you home; Wonderful, wonderful Saviour. [Refrain] Languages: English Tune Title: [Like a lost sheep on the mountain astray]

Philadelphia, PA, 1921) received his musical training from his father and several other private teachers. A carpenter by trade, he engaged in the furniture business from 1862 to 1878. Many of these collections were first published by the John Hood Company and later by Kirkpatrick's own Praise Publishing Company, both in Philadelphia. Bert Polman
