He is Coming After Me

Author: W. H. Hacker Hymnal: Soul Inspiring Songs #46 (1929) First Line: Oh, I’m looking for my Saviour, who has gone from earth to heaven Refrain First Line: He’s coming after me, He’s coming after me Lyrics: 1 Oh, I’m looking for my Saviour, who has gone from earth to heaven, He has promised to come back some day you see, And it fills my soul with glory, as I sing the sweet, old story, Just to know that Christ is coming after me. Refrain: He’s coming after me, He’s coming after me, He’s coming back, I know, to catch His waiting bride away, And it fills my soul with glory, as I sing the sweet old story, Just to know that Christ is coming after me. 2 Oh, my heart grows sad and weary, with the many days so dreary, O this world has lost its love and charms for me, But I’m filled with fire and glory, when I read the precious story, When I think about His coming after me. [Refrain] 3 Oh, dear friends, I well remember, that when first I found the Saviour, How He sweetly took my aches and pains away, And He filled my soul with glory, how I love to tell the story, And to know that He is coming after me. [Refrain] 4 See the Saviour standing pleading, and His broken heart is bleeding For a world that’s steeped in sin of low degree, Oh, dear sinner, heed the story, let Him fill your soul with glory, Oh, get ready for He’s coming after me. [Refrain] Languages: English Tune Title: [Oh, I'm looking for my Savior, who has gone from earth to heaven]
