Author: R. E. W. Hymnal: Soul Inspiring Songs #124 (1929) First Line: Sinner, turn, why will you linger Refrain First Line: Sinner, come and seek salvation Lyrics: 1 Sinner, turn, why will you linger, Come beneath the chast’ning rod, Come to Jesus, He will save you, Oh, prepare to meet thy God. Refrain: Sinner, come and seek salvation! In sin’s path too long you’ve trod, You’ll be free from condemnation, Oh, prepare to meet thy God! 2 Why so heedless are you waiting? Soon you’ll go beneath the sod, Soon you’ll pass to final judgment, Oh, prepare to meet thy God. [Refrain] 3 Hear the Spirit’s voice now pleading, Be ye reconciled to God, Or you’ll have an awful ending, Unprepared to meet thy God. [Refrain] 4 Should the Spirit cease its warning, When sins path so long you’ve trod, What a sad, eternal judgment, Unprepared to meet thy God. [Refrain] Languages: English Tune Title: [Sinner, turn, why will you linger]
