Author: Thoro Harris Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: Art thou laden with a weight oppressing Lyrics: 1 Art thou laden with a weight oppressing? Bring it to Jesus, bring it to Jesus; Humbly kneel and claim the promised blessing, Look to the Savior in prayer. Refrain: Look to the Savior, Seeking His favor, Bring Him thy burden of care; He’ll not forsake thee, Grief shall not o’ertake thee, Look to the Savior in prayer. 2 Dost thou seek a balm for care and sadness? Find it in Jesus, find it in Jesus; He will pour the oil of holy gladness, Look to the Savior in prayer. [Refrain] 3 Is the cross to heavy thou must carry? Cast it on Jesus, cast it on Jesus; Come this moment, do not longer tarry, Look to the Savior in prayer. [Refrain] 4 Doth a cord of evil passion bind thee? Calling on Jesus, calling on Jesus, Leave the mem’ry of thy sin behind thee, Look to the Savior in prayer. [Refrain] 5 Here is solace for the heart of sorrow, Only in Jesus, only in Jesus; Peace today and comfort for the morrow; Look to the Savior in prayer.
