Standing on Promise Ground

Author: Mrs. C. H. M. Hymnal: The Best of All #S3 (1910) First Line: On promise ground I have planted my feet Lyrics: 1 On promise ground I have planted my feet, Firm my foundation and safe my retreat; Here toil is pleasure and service is sweet, Standing on promise ground. Refrain: Standing on promise ground, I am so glad I this resting place found; God’s word is sure, and I am secure, Standing on promise ground. 2 Comfort and blessing abide in my soul, Doubtings are over and Christ has control; On him today ev’ry burden I roll, Standing on promise ground. [Refrain] 3 Treasures of earth all shall rust and decay, Other foundations shall crumble away; God’s word abides, we exultingly say, Standing on promise ground. [Refrain] 4 Looking back over the wearisome way, Up to the land I am holding today; Keep me, dear Savior, forever I pray, Standing on promise ground. [Refrain] Tune Title: [On promise ground I have planted my feet]
