O gościu pożądany, z nową przyjdź ochłodą i prowadź swe chrześcijany do wiecznego grodu. 5 O, Królu nasz niebieski, Jezu Panie miły, w bój prowadź nas zwycięski, użycz nam swej siły. My z Tobą żyć pragniemy i tu w doczesności, i tam, gdy dostąpimy z Tobą enej błogości. Topics: Rok kościelny Adwent Used With Tune: JAKO O TYM PROROCY

Coeli enarrant

Author: T. S. Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: The heavens and the firmament Lyrics: 1 The heavens and firmament on high do wondrously declare The glory of God omnipotent, his works and what they are. 2 The wondrous works of God appeare by every daies success? The nights likewise which their race run the self same thing express. 3 There is no language, tongue, or speech, where their sound is not heard; In all the earth and coasts thereof their knowledge is confer'd. 4 In them the Lord made for the Sun a place of great renown: who like a bride-groome ready trim'd, doth from his chamber come. 5 And as a valiant champion, who for to get a prize, With joy doth hast to take in hand, some noble enterprise. 6 And all the skie from end to end he compasseth about: Nothing can hide if from his heat, but he will find it out. 7 How perfect is the law of God, how is his covenant sure: Converting soules, and making wise the simple and obscure. 8 Just are the Lords commandements, and glad both heart and mind: His precepts pure and do give light to eyes that be full blind. 9 The feare of God is excellent and doth endure for ever: The judgements of the lord are true, and righteous altogether. 10 And more to be embrac'd alway, then fined gold I say: The honey and the honey-combe are not so sweet as they. 11 By them thy servant is fore-warn'd to have God in regard; And in performance of the same, there shall be great reward. 12 But Lord what earthly man doth know the errors of his life: Then cleanse me from my secret sins, which are in me most rife: 13 And keep me that presumptuous sins prevaile not over me: And so shall I be innocent, and great offences flee. 14 Accept my mouth and eke my heart, my words and thoughts each one: For my Redeemer and my strength, O Lord, thou art alone. Scripture: Psalm 19

Co-Laborers

Author: Ruth Gilbert Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: Christ Jesus has commanded us to go in all the world Refrain First Line: Co-laborers, co-laborers Lyrics: 1 Christ Jesus has commanded us to go in all the world; To win the lost ones back to Him, and teach them in His Word; As messengers for Him we go with this great task our aim, That people of all nations might give honor to His name. Refrain: Co-laborers, co-laborers, Together with God are we; To win and teach this world for Christ, Our mission here shall be. 2 For each lost soul in all this world is precious in His sight; Then may we win and teach them in the blessèd way of right. Co-laborers for Him we go in whate’er field or land, That we may do our Father’s will and carry out His plan. [Refrain] 3 His mighty pow’r is over us, He leads us all the way; His presence we assurance have while toiling day by day. Upon the conqu’ring side are we in this most glorious task, And when our work on earth is done we’ll see His face at last. [Refrain] Used With Tune: [Christ Jesus has commanded us to go in all the world] Text Sources: Harvest Hymns by Robert H. Coleman (Dallas: Robert H. Coleman)

Cold Affections

Appears in 1 hymnal First Line: Sure I must love the Saviour's name Lyrics: I. Sure I must love the Saviour's name— Or is the heav'n-born passion dead, Extinguish'd the celestial flame, And all my joys forever fled? II. At the sweet mention of his love, How should the sacred ardour rise! And ev'ry thought, transported, move In grateful joy, and glad surprise! III. Jesus demands this heart of mine, Demands my wish, my joy, my care; But ah! how dead to things divine, How cold my best affections are! IV. What death-like lethargy detains My captive pow'rs with fatal art, And spreads its unrelenting chains Heavy and cold, around my heart! V. 'Tis sin, alas! with dreadful pow'r Divides my Saviour from my sight; O for one happy, shining hour Of sacred freedom, sweet delight! VI. See, dearest Lord, my wretched state, And thy almighty pow'r employ; To thee I seek, on thee I wait, For life, and liberty, and joy. VII. O let thy love shine forth, and raise My captive pow'rs from sin and death; And fill my heart and life with praise, And tune my last expiring breath. VIII. Then bear me to the blissful seats Of perfect freedom, life and light, Where thy redeem'd assembly meets, To love and praise with full delight. IX. There shall my thoughts transported trace, And all my soul forever prove, The boundless riches of thy grace, The endless wonders of thy love.
