Hear, O Ye Children

Representative Text

1 Hear, O ye children of the Lord,
Stand strong for Jesus and His word;
O falter not, be brave and true,
Your Lord will take you thro'.

Refrain:
Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!
Be strong! Be strong! be strong!
O be valiant for the Master,
He will help you in the fight;
Be strong! Be strong!
O be strong in the Lord, power of His might,
O be strong in the Lord,
He will help you in the fight.

2 Stand up for all God's holy light,
And wax ye valiant in the fight;
As ancient heroes used to do,
Your Lord will take you thro'. [Refrain]

3 Just arm yourself to suffer long,
And let God fill your heart with song;
To ev'ry word of God be true,
And He will take you thro'. [Refrain]

4 Out of your weakness be made strong,
Fear not the mighty hosts of wrong;
God will your failing strength renew,
And take you safely thro'. [Refrain]

5 Help one another in the fray,
Cheer each his brother on the way;
The faithful may seem to be few,
But Christ will take you thro'. [Refrain]
