Hjem jeg længes, Ak, i Verden

Representative Text

1 Hjem jeg længes! Ak, i Verden
Er saa koldt, saa mørkt, saa øbt,
Maatte snart min arme Færden
Være endt, og Sorgen bødt!

2 Hjem jeg længes! Ei jeg trives
Her i Jordens Jammer-Dal;
Til Guds Salem Hjertet drives
Op til Lammets Bryllups-Sal.

3 Hjem jeg længes! Naaderige
Fader, lad mig hjem faa gaa,
Bort fra Synd og Sorger vige!
Snart mit Hjemland skal jeg naa.

4 Hjem jeg længes! Der er Sommer,
Sol og Sang saa viden om,
Ja du siger: Se, jeg kommer!
Amen. Herre Jesus, kom!
