Fitch, William. (Falkirk, Scotland, July 10, 1911-March 23, 1984, Toronto, Canada [Glasgow Herald]). Presbyterian. University of Glasgow, M.A., 1932; B.D., 1935; Ph.D., 1943. Pastorates at Newmilnes, 1936-1943; Glasgow, 1943-1955; Toronto, Ontario, 1955-1972. From 1972, director of the Church Renewal Foundation, and evangelist-at-large, for the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Author of some twenty books of Biblical exposition on great themes.
