Full Text

1 We are little friends of Jesus,
On the road from earth to heaven;
We have just commenced the mission
Which to us the Lord has given.

Refrain:
Yes, we know sweet rest awaits us,
By and by, when life is o’er;
He will guide our little footsteps
To the bright and shining shore.

2 Help us each to be a sunbeam,
Or a star to shine so bright;
In the corners, by the wayside,
Turning darkness into light. [Refrain]

3 God has left to us a mission,
Work to do with all our heart;
We must fill our hands with kindness,
While our lips His love impart. [Refrain]
