51. The First Christmas Eve

1 Such a lovely thing happened one night,
One beautiful night long ago;
The darkness all changed into light,
All around, and above, and below;
It was neither the stars nor the moon,
That made it so bright up on high,
'Twas a light out of heaven that shone,--
Then some angels came out of the sky.
