Alleluia! Lyrics: 1 For all the saints who from their labors rest, All who by faith before the world confessed, Your name, O Jesus, be forever blest. [Refrain:] Alleluia! Alleluia! 2 You were their rock, their fortress, and their might; Jesus, their cCaptain in the well-fought fight; You in the darkness drear, their one true Light. [Refrain] 3 O may your soldiers, faithful, true, and bold, Fight as the saints who nobly fought of old, And win with them the victor's crown of gold. [Refrain] 4 O blest communion, fellowship divine! We feebly struggle, they in glory shine; Yet all are one within your great design. [Refrain] 5 And when the fight is fierce, the warfare long, Steals on the ear the distant triumph song, And hearts are brave again, and arms are strong. [Refrain] 6 From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast, Through gates of pearl streams in the countless host, Singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, [Refrain] Amen. We Believe in God the Father

Author: Timothy Dudley-Smith Meter: 8.7.8.7 D Appears in 8 hymnals Topics: Service music--Creeds Lyrics: 1 We believe in God the Father, God Almighty, by whose plan earth and heaven sprang into being, all created things began. We believe in Christ the Savior, Son of God in human frame, virgin born, the child of Mary, upon whom the Spirit came. 2 Christ, who on the cross forsaken, like a lamb to slaughter led, suffered under Pontius Pilate, he descended to the dead. We believe in Jesus risen, heaven’s king to rule and reign, to the Father’s side ascended till as judge he comes again. 3 We believe in God the Spirit; in one church, below, above; saints of God in one communion, one in holiness and love. So by faith, our sins forgiven, Christ our Savior, Lord and Friend, we shall rise with him in glory to the life that knows no end. Scripture: Acts 4:23-37 Used With Tune: LUX EOI

Crown Him with Many Crowns

Awake my soul, and sing Of him who died for you, And hail Him as your matchless King With worship as his due. 2 Crown him the Lord of peace; Whose power a scepter sways From pole to pole, that wars may cease, Absorbed in prayer and praise. His reign shall know no end; And round His pierced feet Fair flowers of paradise extend Their fragrance ever sweet. 3 Crown him the Lord of life, Who triumphed o’er the grave, And rose victorious in the strife For those he came to save. His glories now we sing Who died and rose on high, Who died, eternal life to bring, And lives that death may die. 4 Crown him the Lord of years, The Potentate of time, Creator of the rolling spheres, Ineffably sublime. All hail, Redeemer, hail! For you have died for me Your praise shall never, never fail Throughout eternity. Amen. Scripture: Hebrews 2:7-8 Used With Tune: DIADEMATA
