Marching Home

Author: Sallie Keep Best Hymnal: Sunshine No. 2 #8 (1904) First Line: We are marching, we are marching to our home on high Lyrics: 1 We are marching, we are marching to our home on high, Tenting nightly, ‘neath the starry sky, Sweetly sleeping; Only keeping By the Savior’s side, Fearing never, and forever With Him we abide. 2 Marching daily, marching daily with a joyful song, Tenting nightly, we’re a happy throng; Flags wave o’er us; In a chorus Oft our voices blend; Never lonely; Jesus only Is our guide and friend. 3 Marching bravely, marching bravely, while the sun is bright, Tenting nightly, when there is no light; Home is nearer, Christ is dearer Than the day before; He is near us; He will cheer us Till our march is o’er.
