Author: Sallie K. Best Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: We're going home with Jesus Refrain First Line: We're marching home Lyrics: 1 We’re going home with Jesus, Our Captain brave and strong; With sword and armor bright We gladly march along; We’re marching home with Jesus, The strife will soon be o’er; Then in our Father’s kingdom We’ll triumph evermore. Chorus: We’re marching home, We’re marching home, We’re marching home with Jesus, With our palms of victory; We’re marching home, We’re marching home, We’re marching on to glorious victory. 2 We’re marching home with Jesus; Oh, sweet it is to know That o’er life’s rugged road He’ll ever with us go! How surely we can trust Him Throughout the darkest night! In safety He will guard us Until the morning light. [Chorus] 3 We’re marching home with Jesus; We’ve nothing now to fear; No sin or foe can harm With Christ, our Savior, near; We’re marching home with Jesus, And joyfully each day We’ll follow ever onward Where He may lead the way. [Chorus] Topics: Martial Used With Tune: [We're going home with Jesus]
