Turner Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: There are thousands waiting, waiting for a message from the Lord Refrain First Line: Tell them that it shineth bright Lyrics: 1 There are thousands waiting, waiting for a message from the Lord, Waiting for the light of God; In the far off land of darkness they are waiting for the light, Waiting for the light of God. Chorus: Tell them that it shineth bright, Shines for one and all; Tell them that its blessed rays Over them shall fall; Tell them, lead them, Lead them to the light of God. 2 They are calling, "come and help us, lead us from the gloom of night, Lead us to the light of God; Lead us to the Sun of heaven give us light, Lead us to the light of God." [Chorus] 3 Tell them that the blessed Master sends his holy, loving word, Hasten with the light of God; Over sea and over mountains let the joyful news be heard, Hasten with the light of God. [Chorus] 4 There are thousands waiting, waiting for the light that shines from heav'n, Hasten with the light of God; Send it forth and send it gladly, freely, freely was it given, Hasten with the light of God.
