Christ-Likeness

Author: Mrs. C. H. M Appears in 4 hymnals First Line: What wonderful, wonderful mercy is this! Refrain First Line: Wonderful! 'Tis wonderful! Lyrics: 1 What wonderful, wonderful mercy is this! God wants us to be like Him here; In love and in purity like as He is, God wants us to be like Him here. Chorus: Wonderful! ’Tis wonderful! That mortals His like-ness should bear; Yet this is His will for you and for me, God wants us to be like Him here. 2 “Be holy," said Jesus, "for holy am I," God wants us to be like Him here; And grace all sufficient will freely supply, God wants us to be like Him here. [Chorus] 3 With love that endureth and hopeth all things-- God wants us to be like Him here; And faith which in trial triumphantly sings, God wants us to be like Him here. [Chorus] 4 See millions now struggling in sin’s awful night, God wants us to be like Him here; And we may win many from darkness to light, God wants them to be like Him here. [Chorus] 5 Why tarry, poor sinner, believe and obey, God wants us to be like Him here; There’s wonderful virtue in Calvary’s way, God wants you to be like Him here. [Chorus] Used With Tune: [What wonderful, wonderful mercy is this!]
