Pastorates in Scotland at Dunfermline, 1927-1936; Cambusland, 1936-1941; Ardroffan, 1941-1946. Lecturer or professor in Old Testament at Glasgow University, 1946-1947; St. Andrew's University, 1947-1955; Emmanuel College, Toronto, 1955-1969; Carleton University, Ottawa, 1969-1974.
